Ride with Us to the Winterhaven Festival of Lights!
December 14-28, 2024 6 p.m. – 10 p.m.
We encourage you to park your cars and ride Sun Tran. With routes 17 and 34 servicing the Winterhaven area, let Sun Tran do the driving for you. Transit Fares are currently FREE. Be sure to check the schedule for either Route 17 or Route 34 HERE or you can plan your trip by calling Customer Service at (520) 792-9222.
Riders can hop off at the Fort Lowell Road/ Fox Lane or Fort Lowell Road/2828 E Fort Lowell bus stops to arrive at the festivities.

During the Winterhaven Festival of Lights Route 17 will be on detour every day from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The 75th Annual Winterhaven Festival of Lights sponsored by TEP is here! Since 1949 the Winterhaven Festival of Lights has grown to become a Tucson tradition. This year, for their Diamond Anniversary, they invite the Tucson community to enjoy the lights and celebrate the holiday season.
Support the Community Food Bank
In 2023, the Tucson Community donated $31,222 and 37,800 pounds of food during the Festival of Lights. The festival is FREE to attend, guests are encouraged to donate food or money to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. Most needed items:
- Peanut butter
- Oatmeal
- Cereal
- Granola Bars
- Canned Soup
- Canned Vegetables
- Rice & Pasta
