Economy Pass Program

Sun Tran is dedicated to providing access to convenient and affordable transportation for everyone in the community. Sun Tran offers reduced fares through our Economy Pass program. Economy cash fares and passes are available to use on Sun Tran Routes 1-99 for low-income riders, senior citizens 65 years or older, Medicare Card holders, and people with disabilities who have obtained the required identification. The ID must be displayed each time an Economy Pass or cash is used to board the bus. See if you qualify for one of these reduced fares:

Low Income

Pima County residents who meet low-income requirements are eligible for a reduced fare once they obtain a Sun Tran Transit ID. ID's must be displayed to the coach operator when paying the economy fare with Economy Pass or cash.

Senior

Senior citizens with approved IDs can purchase economy fare passes. ID's must be displayed to the coach operator each time the economy cash fare is paid or an Economy Pass is used to board the bus.

Medicare Card

Sun Tran will accept the Medicare Card to purchase economy fare passes. ID's must be displayed to the coach operator each time the economy cash fare is paid or an Economy Pass is used to board the bus.

Disabled

Passengers with IDs can purchase economy fare passes. ID's must be displayed to the coach operator each time the economy cash fare is paid or an Economy Pass is used to board the bus.

Nonprofit

The nonprofit program allows organizations to purchase economy passes for clients who meet eligibility requirements.
