Sun On Demand offers shared rides within designated service zones, making it easier to reach everyday destinations without needing a fixed bus stop. Enjoy unlimited rides at no cost. Travel within your zone or transfer to Sun Tran routes, Sun Link, or other transit services.  All vehicles are ADA accessible and equipped to accommodate mobility devices. Book using the mobile app or by phone. Convenient, accessible transportation that fits your lifestyle.

Sun On Demand operates seven days a week with service hours designed to meet your daily transportation needs.

Monday – Friday: 6AM – 8PM
Saturday: 8AM – 7PM
Sunday: 9AM – 5PM

Getting around is easy in just a few simple steps. Book your ride within your service zone using the app or by phone and connect to shopping, work, school, medical appointments, and Sun Tran transit services.

Reserve Your Ride

There are two ways you can book your ride; through the Sun On Demand app or by calling our reservationist up to seven days in advance and in some cases, same day service may be available.

  • Open the rider app on your mobile device.
  • Tap on the “Where to?” box and select your drop-off location by searching for a point of interest or address. When selecting your pickup spot you can use your current location (the default) or enter your pickup location/address manually.
  • Add additional passengers or request accessibility features by tapping on the “Passenger” or “Wheelchair” icons.
  • If you want to schedule your trip in advance, select a later time by tapping “Schedule” in the lower right corner. Trips can be booked 1 – 7 days in advance. Advanced bookings are recommended as same-day rides are not guaranteed and are based on availability.
  • Review your estimated pickup and drop-off time and tap “Request Ride” when ready.
  • Once a trip is created, riders will receive real-time updates via text or app notifications and can track vehicle location and estimated arrival time in the app. In addition, helpful information about the vehicle will be available including the make, color, and license plate.  

Call the Sun On Demand Reservationist

Reserve your ride by calling the reservationist at (520) 798-1000. Reservations may be made during the following times: Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Please provide the following information to book your trip:

  • Name, number of people riding, date of travel, departure location address and desired departure time, destination address and desired arrival time. Please indicate if this is a recurring trip.

Please remember to cancel your ride the same way you booked it, at least 24-48 hours in advance.

Sun On-Demand Rider Rules

Help us provide safe, reliable service for everyone. Please review these guidelines before your trip to ensure a smooth experience for you and your fellow riders.

  1. Waiting and Boarding – Be ready at your scheduled pick-up location at least 5 minutes early. Wait where the Sun On Demand driver can see you.  When you board, verify your desired drop-off location with the driver.
  2. No Bicycles – No bicycles are allowed on the vehicles as there are no bike racks.
  3. No Smoking – No smoking on board, including electronic cigarettes.
  4. Children and Riding – Children under 5 are required to be accompanied by an adult, and bring a car seat.
  5. Mobility Devices – All vehicles are wheelchair and electric scooter accessible.
  6. Animals – Except for service animals, keep pets enclosed in small cages or cardboard boxes.
  7. Food and Drink – Food & beverages must be in a closed container.
